IT support, remote assistance & account terms
Last updated: April 2026. By creating an account, signing in (including with Google), or using our remote IT services, you agree to the following.
Assumption of risk & limitation of liability
Our services are provided “as is.” Honesty Software LLC and its staff disclaim all warranties, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You assume all risk arising from remote assistance, software installation, configuration changes, advice, screen sharing, telephone support, and any related activity. You agree that we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, hardware failure, identity issues, or any other harm, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from IT support or these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the three (3) months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100), whichever is greater, except where prohibited by law.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Honesty Software LLC, its owners, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to your use of our services, your devices, your data, your instructions to us, or your violation of these terms.
No guarantee of outcomes
We help with computers, devices, and everyday technology questions. We do not guarantee that any problem will be fixed, that any deadline will be met, or that any recommendation will be suitable for your situation. You remain responsible for backups, passwords, and legal compliance.
Recording & sessions
Support may occur by phone, browser-based screen sharing, chat, or installed tools you approve. Do not share confidential information you are not authorized to disclose.
General
These terms apply in addition to our general terms of service and privacy policy where they do not conflict. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
